The crowd demanded Jesus,
And shouted as they ran down the Via Dolorosa,
hoping they would see the man
His followers called Master,
the holy Son of God,
whose precious blood was staining
the very street they rod,
Called Via Dolorosa,
it was the "way of suffering."
and it became the path of death
that led this holy King
to a place filled with hostility
and ruthless, cruel scenes....
But on this cross God showed us
what true love really means.
